Bullpadel Vertex Review: Three Generations Tested

Quick Answer

The Bullpadel Vertex is the brand's diamond power racket, and it is worth buying if you win points overhead. The Vertex 05 2026 is the easiest generation to live with, the Vertex 04 is the proven all-out attacker, and the Vertex 03 2023 is the value pick. Comfort, Hybrid, Woman and GEO versions soften or lighten it.

  • Best for: attacking players, usually on the left side, with a compact and confident overhead.
  • Weight/Balance/Shape: diamond, 365 - 375 g on the standard models; balance listed High on the 03 and 04, Medium on the 05.
  • Price at Padelnox: $239 for the Vertex 03 2023 up to $339 for the Vertex 05 2026 line.

Key Takeaways

  • The 05 is calmer than the 04: the spec sheet moves the balance from High to Medium, and on court that shows up as quicker hands at the net.
  • The 04 still hits hardest: if your smash is your main weapon, the Vertex 04 2025 at $269 is the frame I would pick.
  • The 03 is not obsolete: same diamond shape, same weight range, same 12K carbon fiber XT face, and $239 at Padelnox.
  • Variants matter more than years: a Vertex Comfort or Woman suits more club players than the standard frame of any generation.
  • GEO and Hybrid are the gentle Vertex: both are listed as hybrid shapes, which lowers the demand on your technique.

One Month Rotating Three Bullpadel Vertex Generations

Most reviews test one frame. Buyers, though, usually choose between generations, because the older Vertex models stay on sale long after the new one arrives. So I spent a month rotating the Bullpadel Vertex 03 2023 ($239), the Bullpadel Vertex 04 2025 ($269) and the Bullpadel Vertex 05 2026 ($339). Same balls, same doubles partner, same club, one overgrip on each.

Week one: the Vertex 03. I started here because it is the frame I remember from Madrid. The head feels heavy the moment you pick it up. The sweet spot sits high, near the top third of the face, and when you find it on a smash the ball kicks off the back glass with a lot of height. Low volleys were the weak point. On a fast exchange my racket arrived late twice in the first session.

Week two: the Vertex 04. The shape and weight range are the same as the 03 on paper, and the spec sheet lists a high balance on both. In the hand the 04 felt a fraction more stable on off-center hits. My bandeja got flatter and more penetrating. My víbora, which I hit with a lot of side spin, bit well on the rough surface. After 90 minutes my forearm had that familiar tired feeling you get from a stiff diamond.

Week three: the Vertex 05. This is where the change was obvious. The balance is listed as medium, and I felt it in the first rally. My hands were quicker at the net, and I could block volleys at my feet instead of stabbing at them. The smash lost a little of the 04's punch, but I hit more of them cleanly. Arm comfort after the long session was noticeably better.

Week four: all three, one session each. I played a full match with each frame on consecutive days. My unforced errors at the net were lowest with the 05. My winners from the smash were highest with the 04. The 03 sat in between on both counts and cost the least. My verdict: the 04 for strong attackers, the 05 for most competitive club players, the 03 for anyone who wants a Vertex on a tighter budget.

My own everyday frame is a teardrop, so a diamond always asks something of me. The 05 asked the least.

Bullpadel Vertex Versions Explained

The Bullpadel Vertex name covers a lot of rackets. Here is how I sort them for students.

The generations. The Vertex 03, 04 and 05 are the core frames, each one a diamond power racket. The 03 and 04 list a high balance and a competition player level. The 05 moves to a medium balance and an "improver to competition" level, which tells you Bullpadel wanted it to reach more players. I go deeper on each one in my Bullpadel Vertex 04 review and my Bullpadel Vertex 05 review.

Hybrid. The Hybrid moves the shape toward a rounder head. The Bullpadel Vertex 04 Hybrid 2025 ($269) lists a low balance, which makes it the Vertex I would give a player who defends as much as they attack.

GEO. New for the 05 generation. The Bullpadel Vertex 05 GEO 2026 ($339) is listed as a hybrid shape with a 3K Carbon Xtend face and a medium surface. It is the softest-feeling Vertex I have hit.

Comfort. Comfort versions use a Fibrix face, a blend of fiberglass and carbon. The Bullpadel Vertex 04 Comfort 2024 ($239) drops to 360 - 370 g and keeps the diamond shape. Good for elbows.

Woman. The lightest version of each generation. The Bullpadel Vertex 05 Woman 2026 ($339) lists 350 - 360 g, a low balance and a soft surface.

Same generation, different year. Bullpadel refreshes some frames without changing the number, which is why you will see a Vertex 04 2024 and a Vertex 04 2025. On our spec rows both are diamonds at 365 - 375 g with a high balance and a 12K carbon face. The 2024 lists a rough, hard surface and a competition level. The 2025 lists an advanced level and costs $269 against $239. If you just want a Vertex 04 to hit with, the older year is the smarter spend. I only point players to the 2025 when they want the newest cosmetics and the latest spec sheet in their hands.

Editions. MX, Master Final, Tour Finals, Tour Final, Newgiza and Miami are event or limited editions. Where we do not have a published spec row for an edition, I do not guess at one. Check the product page before buying.

Who Should Buy a Bullpadel Vertex, and How to Set It Up

The Vertex is not a first racket. Here is how I decide whether a student is ready for one, and how I set it up when they are.

  1. Check your overhead. If you hit a bandeja and a flat smash with a consistent contact point above and slightly in front of your head, a Vertex will add pace. If not, it will add errors.
  2. Pick the generation by balance. High balance (Vertex 03, Vertex 04) for strong, fast swingers. Medium balance (Vertex 05) for everyone else who wants a diamond.
  3. Pick the variant by arm and weight. Elbow or wrist history: Comfort. Lighter build or shorter swing: Woman. Mixed attacking and defending: Hybrid or GEO.
  4. Understand the face. The standard Vertex uses 12K carbon fiber XT, a firm feel. My 12K vs 18K carbon guide explains what the weave numbers mean on court.
  5. Set the grip size with overgrips. Start with one overgrip. Add a second only if the handle feels thin when you squeeze on a volley.
  6. Protect the frame. Diamond heads take the most wall contact. Fit the frame protector from your Court-Ready Kit before the first session.
  7. Wait before adding weight. Play three weeks before you add any weight strips. Most players never need them on a Vertex.

Bullpadel Vertex vs Alternatives: Spec Table

This table sets the three Vertex generations against the frames buyers most often weigh them against. All values come from the manufacturer spec rows on our product pages.

Model Shape Weight Balance Core Player level Price at Padelnox
Vertex 05 2026 Diamond 365 - 375 g Medium MultiEVA, medium Improver to competition $339
Vertex 04 2025 Diamond 365 - 375 g High MultiEVA Advanced $269
Vertex 03 2023 Diamond 365 - 375 g High MultiEVA, Adaptia, medium Competition $239
Hack 04 2026 Diamond 365 - 375 g High MultiEVA, Adaptia, medium Competition $339
NOX AT10 Genius Attack 12K 2025 Diamond 360 - 375 g High Black EVA multilayered, medium Competition $279
Babolat Technical Viper 3.0 2026 Diamond 360 - 375 g High X-EVA multilayered densities, hard Competition $279

The Hack is the closest relative. If you are stuck between the two Bullpadel diamonds, read my Bullpadel Vertex vs Hack comparison and the Bullpadel Hack review. The Babolat Viper lists a hard core, so expect it to feel firmer than any Vertex.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Bullpadel Vertex is best: 03, 04 or 05?

It depends on your swing. The Vertex 04 hits hardest and suits strong attackers with good technique. The Vertex 05 2026 lists a medium balance, so it handles better at the net and suits more competitive club players. The Vertex 03 2023 shares the diamond shape, weight range and 12K carbon fiber XT face of the 04 and costs $239, so it is the value choice.

Is the Bullpadel Vertex good for beginners?

No, not the standard frame. Every standard Vertex is a diamond power racket built for players with a consistent overhead, and the 03 and 04 list a competition player level. A beginner will find volleys hard to control. If you are newer to padel but set on a Vertex, the Woman or GEO versions are gentler, though a round frame is still the better first racket.

How heavy is the Bullpadel Vertex?

The standard Vertex 03, 04 and 05 all list 365 - 375 g on the manufacturer spec sheet. The Comfort versions list 360 - 370 g. The Vertex 04 Woman 2024 lists 345 - 360 g and the Vertex 05 Woman 2026 lists 350 - 360 g. Balance also changes how heavy a racket feels, so the medium-balance Vertex 05 feels lighter in the hand than the 04.
