Babolat Viper Padel Rackets

Quick Answer
Babolat Viper padel rackets are the brand's attacking family, and this collection holds every version we stock, from the $199 Air Viper APT 2023 to the $329 Juan Lebron 3.0 gift box editions. Pick Technical for maximum power, Air for a lighter frame, Counter for control and Soft for comfort.
- Best for: intermediate to competition players who like to attack from the net.
- Weight / Balance / Shape: 355 g on the Air 2.6 up to 360 - 380 g on the Lebron 3.0; diamond, hybrid, teardrop and round shapes.
- Price at Padelnox: $199 to $329, and every Viper qualifies for the free Court-Ready Kit.
Key Takeaways
- Four versions, four feels. Technical, Air, Counter and Soft share a family name but suit very different players.
- Packaging is not performance. "With bag" and "gift box" Lebron editions share their spec sheet with the standard frame of the same year.
- The $199 to $249 band is excellent value. 2023, 2024 and 2025 Vipers play close to the 2026 frames for most club players.
- Air is the easiest Viper. The Air Viper 2.6 2026 lists 355 g, medium balance and an amateur rating.
- Counter is the control Viper. A round head with a 3K carbon face makes it the Viper for patient, defensive players.

Babolat Viper Padel Rackets: The Price Ladder
I'm Tomás Reyes, and I have coached with Babolat Vipers since the 2023 generation. The grid above can look overwhelming, so here is how I would walk a student through it, rung by rung.
$199. The entry rung holds three frames: the Air Viper APT 2023 ($199), a 355 g hybrid with a 16K face and a medium core; the Technical Viper 2023; and the Technical Viper Lebron 2023 with bag ($199), which lists a 365 g diamond with a hard Black EVA core. For a club player on a budget, these are the Vipers I recommend most.
$219 to $259. The Viper Lebron 2024, the Counter Viper 2024, the Technical Viper 2.5 2025, the Air Viper 2.5 and the Counter Viper 2.5, plus the Juan Lebron 2025 with bag. The Technical Viper 2.5 2025 ($249) is the pick of this rung for attacking players, with a 12K carbon face and a medium core.
$279. Every standard 2026 Viper sits here: Technical 3.0, Technical Soft 3.0, Air 2.6, Counter 2.6, Viper Soft Lebron 3.0 and the Juan Lebron 3.0 in standard and Blue. The Juan Lebron 2025 gift box is also $279.
$329. The top rung is the two Juan Lebron 3.0 gift box editions. They are the same racket as the $279 versions in a presentation box, which makes them a gift choice rather than a performance upgrade.

One Session, Four Vipers
Earlier this year I ran an experiment I recommend to anyone choosing between Babolat Viper padel rackets: one two-hour session, four 2026 Vipers, the same drill sequence with each. I played the Technical Viper 3.0, the Air Viper 2.6, the Counter Viper 2.6 and the Viper Soft Lebron 3.0, with the same partner and fresh balls for each 30-minute block.
Technical Viper 3.0. The most powerful and the most demanding. Flat smashes flew, and the rough surface gave my víbora real bite. By the end of 30 minutes I had framed two lobs and my forearm could feel the hard core.
Air Viper 2.6. Immediately quicker in the hand. The medium balance made reflex volleys easy, and I lost only a little smash pace. This was the frame my partner wanted to keep.
Counter Viper 2.6. A different racket entirely. The round head made defense from the back glass calm and predictable. Smashes landed deep but rarely left the court. My bandejas were the most accurate of the session.
Viper Soft Lebron 3.0. The softest feel of the four, with a diamond shape and high balance. The Soft Carbon face held the ball on touch volleys. It felt like a Technical with the edges sanded off.
Ranked for a typical 3.5-level club player, I would order them Air, Soft, Counter, Technical. For a strong league attacker, Technical, Soft, Air, Counter. That flip is the whole story of the Viper family.
How to Pick Your Viper
- Decide how you win points. Smash and volley winners point to the Technical or Soft. Patient placement points to the Counter. A mix of both points to the Air.
- Check your arm. The Technical 3.0 and Juan Lebron 3.0 list hard cores. Anyone with elbow history should choose the Air, Counter or a Soft version.
- Choose a year for your budget. The 2023 frames at $199 are real value. The 2026 frames add material updates, which my Technical Viper review details.
- Ignore packaging unless it is a gift. With-bag and gift box editions carry the same racket.
- Compare with NOX if you are torn. The Air Viper review includes a direct comparison with the NOX AT10 12K, and my NOX AT10 guide covers that frame.
- Set it up. Fit one overgrip and the frame protector from your Court-Ready Kit, and play two sessions before building the grip further. Leave weight strips aside; Vipers carry plenty of head weight already.
Which side of the court? Side matters more than most buyers think. On the right, where you return more balls from the back glass and set up your partner, I lean toward the Air or Counter, because they forgive a late contact. On the left, where you take most of the overheads, the Technical and Soft versions reward a full swing. Of all the Babolat Viper padel rackets, the Air is the one I trust on either side.
Looking after it. Vipers have hard, textured faces that wear with use. Keep the racket out of a hot car, store it in a cover, and replace the overgrip as soon as it turns shiny. A well-kept frame keeps its feel for a full season of regular play, and the protector from your Court-Ready Kit saves the top of the frame from low scrapes on the glass. Treat your Babolat Viper padel rackets that way and they will keep their bite much longer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Babolat Viper is best for a club player?
For most club players, the Air Viper 2.6 2026 is the best fit. It lists 355 g with a medium balance and an amateur rating, so it is quick and forgiving while still attacking well. If you want more power with comfort, the Viper Soft Lebron 3.0 2026 is rated improver to competition. Keep the Technical Viper for when your overhead is consistent and your arm is strong.
What is the difference between the gift box and with-bag Viper editions?
Only the packaging. Babolat sells several Lebron Vipers in gift box and with-bag versions, and each shares its spec sheet with the matching standard frame. For example, the Technical Viper Juan Lebron 3.0 2026 and its gift box edition both list a diamond shape, 360 - 380 g, high balance and an EVA Hard core. Buy the gift box for presentation; buy the standard version if you only need the racket.
Babolat Air Viper or NOX AT10 12K?
The Air Viper 2.6 2026 lists 355 g with a medium balance, so it is quicker in the hands and easier on the arm. The NOX AT10 12K 2024 lists a 360 - 375 g teardrop with a high balance, so it drives through the ball with more weight. Choose the Air Viper for fast net play and comfort, the AT10 12K for heavier groundstrokes and a stronger smash.
