PUMA Padel Rackets

Quick Answer
PUMA padel rackets in our store are 12 Nova frames at two price points: Nova Pro at $119 and Nova Elite at $139. Each comes as CTR (round, control), HYB (teardrop, all-round) or PWR (diamond, power). Pro models use 3K carbon or fiberglass faces, the 2025 Elite models 12K carbon, and most weigh 360 g.
- Best for: intermediate club players who want carbon performance under $150.
- Weight/Balance/Shape: mostly 360 g; CTR round with low balance, HYB teardrop with medium balance, PWR diamond with high balance.
- Price at Padelnox: Nova Pro $119, Nova Elite $139.
Key Takeaways
- The suffix tells you the shape. CTR is round, HYB is a teardrop and PWR or Power is a diamond, according to PUMA's own spec sheets.
- Pro vs Elite is mostly the face. On the 2025 models, the Pro uses 3K carbon and the Elite 12K carbon, for $20 more.
- Weight is consistent. The 2025 frames all list 360 g, so switching between shapes does not change the heft.
- A women's model exists. The Nova Pro WMN is a 360 g teardrop with a fiberglass face and smooth finish.
- Level labels run high. PUMA rates the Elite CTR and PWR as Expert, but the sweet spots are friendly enough for strong intermediates.

The PUMA Padel Rackets Range
I am Tomás Reyes, a padel coach; how I test is set out on my profile page. PUMA is better known for footwear than rackets, but its Nova padel line has become a regular sight on US courts, partly because it sits in a price bracket where there is not much genuine carbon competition. Here is how the 12 frames above break down.
Nova Pro, $119. The entry into PUMA carbon. The Nova Pro CTR 2025 ($119) is a round, low-balance control frame with a 3K carbon face and rough finish at 360 g. The Nova Pro HYB 2025 ($119) is the teardrop version with a medium balance. The 2024 Pro frames include the Nova Pro CTR 2024 ($119), a round control frame at 350 to 370 g, and a Pro Hybrid 2024 in Black/Glacial.
Nova Pro for women, $119. The Nova Pro WMN ($119) is a 360 g teardrop with a fiberglass face and smooth finish, rated intermediate. The Nova Padel Pro in Pink ($119) is a carbon-faced teardrop at 360 to 375 g with a medium-soft feel and sandpaper finish.
Nova Elite, $139. The step up. The Nova Elite HYB 2025 ($139) is a 12K carbon teardrop, medium balance, at 360 g. The Nova Elite PWR 2025 ($139) is a 12K carbon diamond with a high balance. The Nova Elite CTR in Black/White/Red ($139) and the Elite CTR in Black are round, low-balance 12K frames. The 2024 Elite Power and Elite Hybrid in black round it out.

Six Weeks With PUMA Frames in My Intermediate Group
My Wednesday group is six intermediate players, all rated somewhere between improving club player and strong league player. For six weeks I rotated PUMA frames through the group and played with each myself.
Weeks one and two: the Nova Pro CTR 2025. The round head and low balance made it the easiest frame of the test. In my hand, the balance sat close to the grip, and defensive lobs from the back glass went where I aimed. Two players who struggle with consistency had their best sessions of the season with it. The 3K face felt soft and forgiving on off-center volleys. The trade-off showed on smashes: you need to generate the pace yourself.
Weeks three and four: the HYB models. The Pro HYB and Elite HYB 2025 were the favorites overall. The teardrop shape and medium balance give a bit of everything. Comparing them directly, the Elite's 12K face felt firmer and a touch crisper on flat volleys, while the Pro's 3K face gave more dwell on slice. After 90 minutes, no one reported arm soreness with either. If I had to hand one PUMA frame to an unknown intermediate player, it would be the Pro HYB.
Weeks five and six: the Elite PWR 2025. The diamond head and high balance put the weight up top. Bandejas carried more weight, and my víbora finished points that the CTR could not. But two of the six players found it tiring by the second hour, and mishits near the throat were punished. It is a frame for players with clean technique.
A side note on the WMN. One player in the group borrowed the Nova Pro WMN for two sessions. The fiberglass face felt noticeably softer than the carbon Pro models, with more give on contact and a gentler feel on the arm. She liked it for defence and lobs from the back glass, and missed a little crispness on fast exchanges at the net. For a player coming back from an elbow niggle, that softness is the reason to choose it.
Compared with my usual teardrop frame, the PUMAs felt lighter in the head and a little less solid on hard volleys. For the price, though, they did everything my group needed, and nobody felt they were playing with a toy.

How to Choose Your PUMA Padel Racket
- Pick the shape by your game. Defend and place the ball: CTR. A bit of everything: HYB. Finish at the net overhead: PWR. My padel racket shapes guide explains why.
- Pick Pro or Elite by feel. The Pro's 3K face is softer and more forgiving; the Elite's 12K face is firmer and crisper. My carbon weave guide covers the difference.
- Consider the women's options. The Nova Pro WMN and the Pink Pro are both teardrops. My best padel racket for women guide and our women's padel rackets offer more.
- Set up the grip. Add one or two overgrips to reach your size. At 360 g, a second overgrip shifts the balance slightly toward the hand.
- Fit a frame protector. PUMA frames are under $150, so the free Court-Ready Kit does not apply. Add a protector and overgrip pack, and three accessories save 15%.
- Compare at the same price. Our padel rackets under $150, the TUYO range, the Tecnifibre range and the NOX ML10 and X-One frames are the obvious alternatives.
Other PUMA Searches Explained
People searching for PUMA padel rackets often type model names we do not stock, such as SolarSmash, SolarAttack, SolarCourt or Nova Smash. I cannot review what I have not tested, so I will not guess at them. What I can say is that the Nova Pro and Nova Elite frames above cover the same three shapes, and that is how I would compare any PUMA frame: shape, balance, face and weight. Searches for Deviate Nitro, slides or women's sizes are about PUMA footwear, not rackets. For a full 2026 racket overview across brands, see my best padel racket for intermediate players list.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between PUMA Nova Pro and Nova Elite?
On the 2025 models, the main difference is the face. Nova Pro frames use a 3K carbon face and cost $119; Nova Elite frames use a 12K carbon face and cost $139. Both come in CTR, HYB and PWR versions and weigh 360 g. In my testing, the Pro felt softer and more forgiving, and the Elite felt firmer and crisper on flat volleys. Intermediate players will be happy with either.
How much do PUMA padel rackets weigh?
Most PUMA Nova frames in our store list 360 g, including every 2025 model. Some 2024 models give a range: the Nova Pro CTR 2024 lists 350 to 370 g, and the Elite Power, Elite Hybrid, Pro Hybrid and Pink Pro list 360 to 375 g. That puts them in the middle of the typical padel range, so they suit most adult club players without feeling light or heavy.
Is there a PUMA padel racket for women?
Yes. The Nova Pro WMN is a 360 g teardrop with a fiberglass face, smooth finish and medium balance, rated intermediate, at $119. The Nova Padel Pro in Pink is a carbon-faced teardrop at 360 to 375 g with a medium-soft feel. Both are teardrops, which is the shape I recommend most often to women moving from beginner to intermediate. Any PUMA frame can suit women players depending on their game.
