Bullpadel Hack 04 Review: Standard vs Hybrid, Six Weeks On Court

Quick Answer

The Bullpadel Hack 04 is a very good attacking racket, and the 2026 Hybrid is the version most club players should buy. The standard Hack 04 2026 is a stiff, high-balance diamond with a Tricarbon 18K face. The Hack 04 Hybrid 2026 keeps the power but lists a medium balance, which makes it faster and friendlier.

  • Best for: the standard frame suits competition attackers; the Hybrid suits improvers moving into attacking padel.
  • Weight/Balance/Shape: 365 - 375 g; High balance and diamond shape (standard 2026), Medium balance and hybrid shape (Hybrid 2026).
  • Price at Padelnox: $339 for the 2026 models, $269 for the 2025 models.

Key Takeaways

  • The standard Hack 04 2026 is a specialist: the spec row lists competition level, and it plays like it.
  • The Hybrid 2026 is the crowd-pleaser: a medium balance and an A-18K aluminized carbon fiber face gave me the best mix of power and speed.
  • 2025 vs 2026 is a real change on the Hybrid: the 2025 Hybrid lists a high balance, the 2026 Hybrid a medium one.
  • The 2025 standard frame saves $70: same diamond shape, weight range and high balance as the 2026, with a Tricarbon face.
  • Premier and Tour Final are editions: the Premier 2025 has its own spec row; the Tour Final, MX and Newgiza editions do not.

Six Weeks With the Bullpadel Hack 04

For this review I split six weeks between two rackets: the Bullpadel Hack 04 2026 ($339) for weeks one to three, and the Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid 2026 ($339) for weeks four to six. Two sessions a week. Same partner, fresh balls every session, one overgrip each, no extra weight.

Week 1: getting used to the standard frame. The Hack 04 2026 feels solid and a little top-heavy. The Tricarbon 18K face is firm, and on a clean volley it makes a sharp crack. My first session was all about timing. On overheads I needed to start my preparation earlier than with my medium-balance teardrop, and once I did, the ball flew.

Week 2: attacking patterns. I spent both sessions at the net playing bandeja, víbora and smash patterns off lobs fed by my partner. The textured, hard surface gripped the ball well. My víbora had heavy side spin and kicked low off the side glass. My flat smash left the court over the side wall about once in every five attempts, which is more than I manage with my own racket.

Week 3: the weak spots. Fast exchanges at the net exposed the high balance. Twice in one rally I was a fraction late on a ball aimed at my hip. Low volleys needed a firm wrist. After 90 minutes, my forearm was tired. This is a racket for someone who stays on the attack, and I would not hand it to a player who spends half the point on the back glass.

Week 4: switching to the Hybrid. The difference was instant. The Hybrid 2026 lists a medium balance and a hybrid shape, and the head felt lighter the moment I took my ready position. The A-18K aluminized carbon fiber face felt a touch livelier than the standard Tricarbon 18K, with a bit more pop on slower swings.

Week 5: defense and transition. Here the Hybrid left the standard frame behind. Lobs off the back glass went where I aimed them. Chiquitas dropped short at the feet of the net players. The sweet spot felt wider and sat a little lower on the face, closer to the center.

Week 6: match play with both. I played one full match with each. My smash winners were slightly higher with the standard frame. My total errors were clearly lower with the Hybrid. And I finished the Hybrid match with a fresher arm.

Verdict. Buy the standard Hack 04 2026 if you are a competition attacker. Buy the Hybrid if you are anyone else who loves to attack.

Bullpadel Hack 04 Versions Explained

The Bullpadel Hack 04 has run through two model years plus several editions. These are the differences on our spec rows.

Hack 04 2026. Diamond, 365 - 375 g, high balance, MultiEVA and Adaptia medium core, Tricarbon 18K face, textured and hard surface, competition level. The top of the line.

Hack 04 2025. The Bullpadel Hack 04 2025 ($269) lists a diamond shape, 365 - 375 g, a high balance, a MultiEVA core and a Tricarbon face, with an advanced player level. Searches for "Hack 04 2025 vs 2026" usually come down to the face: plain Tricarbon on the 2025, Tricarbon 18K on the 2026. I explain what the carbon numbers mean in my 12K vs 18K carbon guide.

Hack 04 Hybrid 2026. Hybrid shape, 365 - 375 g, medium balance, MultiEVA medium core, A-18K aluminized carbon fiber face, textured and hard surface, improver to competition level.

Hack 04 Hybrid 2025. The Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 ($269) is also a hybrid shape at 365 - 375 g, but it lists a high balance and a Tricarbon face. That makes it more of an attacker than the 2026 Hybrid. If you liked the power of the standard frame but want a rounder head, the 2025 Hybrid is a smart middle ground.

Hack 04 Premier 2025. The Bullpadel Hack 04 Premier 2025 ($269) lists a diamond shape, 365 - 375 g, a high balance, a MultiEVA and Adaptia medium core, a Tricarbon face and a rough, hard surface. It is the standard Hack 04 recipe in an event edition.

Tour Final, Tour Finals, MX and Newgiza. We stock the Bullpadel Hack 04 Tour Final 2025 ($339), the Hack 04 Tour Finals 2024, the Hack 04 MX LTD 2026, the Hack 04 MX 55 LTD and the Hack 04 Newgiza 2026. None of these has a published spec row with us, so I will not state their weight or balance. Ask us by email if you need a detail before ordering.

A note on used rackets: people search for a "Hack 04 usada" to save money. A used diamond frame has often taken hard wall contact at the tip, and cracks in the frame are not always visible. If budget is the priority, the 2025 editions at $269 are a safer route than a second-hand 2026.

How to Set Up the Hack 04, and Who Should Buy It

  1. Match the version to how you play. Competition attacker: Hack 04 2026. Attacker who defends a lot: Hack 04 Hybrid 2026. Attacker on a budget: Hack 04 2025 or the Hybrid 2025.
  2. Check the balance number. High on the standard and 2025 Hybrid, medium on the 2026 Hybrid. Medium will feel lighter, even at the same 365 - 375 g.
  3. Build the grip. Start with one overgrip from the Court-Ready Kit. A slightly thicker grip calms the wrist on a stiff frame like this.
  4. Put the protector on first. The diamond tip of the Hack 04 is the part that meets the glass on low defensive balls.
  5. Warm up the arm. A stiff Tricarbon face is less forgiving on a cold arm. Five minutes of mini-padel before full swings helps.
  6. Adapt for three weeks before judging. My timing on the standard frame took two full weeks to settle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the balance of the Bullpadel Hack 04 2026?

The manufacturer spec row for the standard Hack 04 2026 lists a high balance, alongside a diamond shape and 365 - 375 g. The Hack 04 Hybrid 2026 lists a medium balance and a hybrid shape at the same weight. In practice, the standard frame feels heavier at the head and suits fast attacking swings, while the Hybrid feels quicker in defense and on volleys at the body.

How much does the Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid 2026 weigh?

The Hack 04 Hybrid 2026 lists 365 - 375 g on the manufacturer spec sheet, the same range as the standard Hack 04 2026 and both 2025 models. Because its balance is listed as medium rather than high, it feels lighter in the hand than the standard frame. If you want a noticeably lighter Bullpadel, look at the Woman or Comfort versions of the Vertex instead.

Should I buy the Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 or 2026?

Buy the 2026 Hybrid if you want the most forgiving Hack 04: it lists a medium balance and an A-18K aluminized carbon fiber face. Buy the 2025 Hybrid at $269 if you want more head weight for attacking; it lists a high balance and a Tricarbon face. Both are hybrid shapes at 365 - 375 g, so the choice is really about balance and budget.
