Bullpadel Hack Review: A Coach's Season With the Hack 03 and 04

Quick Answer

The Bullpadel Hack is a diamond power racket that forgives more than its specs suggest, and it is a strong buy for attacking players who want power without the harshest possible feel. The Hack 04 is the current generation, the Hack 03 is excellent value, and the Hybrid versions make either one easier to handle.

  • Best for: attacking club and competition players who want a stable frame on off-center hits.
  • Weight/Balance/Shape: 365 - 375 g across the family, high balance on the standard frames, diamond shape.
  • Price at Padelnox: from $219 (Hack 03 Master Final 2023) to $339 (Hack 04 2026).

Key Takeaways

  • Tricarbon is the Hack signature: every Hack with a published spec row uses a Tricarbon face, moving to Tricarbon 18K on the Hack 04 2026.
  • Hack vs Vertex is about feel: both are high-balance diamonds on paper, but the Hack felt more stable to me on mishits.
  • The Hack 03 is the budget power buy: the 2023 and 2024 editions sit at $239, and the Master Final 2023 at $219.
  • Hybrid versions widen the audience: the Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 lists an "improver to competition" level.
  • Editions add choice, not confusion: Premier, Tour Finals, MX and Newgiza are editions of the core Hack frames.

A Season With the Bullpadel Hack in My Coaching Bag

Coaches use rackets differently from players. I feed hundreds of balls a session, I demonstrate shots at full speed, and then I play the last half hour of group lessons with my students. So when I carried the Bullpadel Hack 03 2024 ($239) through a spring block and then the Bullpadel Hack 04 2026 ($339) through the summer, I got a picture of both frames over roughly three months of daily use.

Month one, feeding and demonstrating. Feeding with a high-balance diamond is tiring, and the Hack 03 was no exception. After an hour of basket drills my shoulder knew about it. But the demonstration shots were a pleasure. When I showed a group how to hit a flat smash out over the side glass, the Hack 03 did it on the first try more often than my teardrop does. The textured, hard surface gave my víbora real bite.

Month one, playing. What surprised me was the stability. On a ball that caught the upper edge of the face, the Hack twisted less than I expected from a diamond. That is not a spec you can read. It is something you notice when a student drives straight at you and you only half-block it, and the ball still lands in.

Month two, the switch to the Hack 04 2026. The spec row lists the same shape, weight range and balance as the Hack 03, with a Tricarbon 18K face. In the hand it felt a shade firmer, with a crisper sound on the volley. The sweet spot felt similar in size and position: upper-middle of the face, a little toward the tip.

Month three, match play with students. Two of my competition students tried both frames against each other in a practice set. The stronger hitter preferred the Hack 04 for its crisper smash. The more tactical player preferred the Hack 03, because the slightly softer response helped his bandeja stay low. Both agreed the Hack was easier to live with than the Vertex 04 they had tried the month before.

What I would change. If Bullpadel asked me, I would like a lighter Hack option in the standard line, the way the Vertex has a Woman version. Plenty of club players want this feel at 355 g, and right now the Hybrid is the closest they get.

Arm comfort. After 90-minute sessions I had some forearm fatigue on both, less than with the Vertex 04. Players with elbow problems should look at the Hybrid versions or a Comfort-type frame from another family.

Bullpadel Hack Versions Explained

The Bullpadel Hack family has two current generations and several variants. Here is how I explain them to students.

Hack 03 (2023 and 2024). Diamond, 365 - 375 g, high balance, MultiEVA and Adaptia medium core, Tricarbon face, competition level. The Bullpadel Hack 03 2023 ($239) lists a smooth, hard surface, while the 2024 lists a textured, hard surface. That texture change matters if you hit a lot of spin.

Hack 03 Hybrid 2024. The Bullpadel Hack 03 Hybrid 2024 ($249) moves to a hybrid shape with a low listed balance. Same Tricarbon face, much easier on defense.

Hack 03 Master Final 2023. The Bullpadel Hack 03 Master Final 2023 ($219) is the most affordable Hack we stock. Its spec row matches the Hack 03 2024: diamond, 365 - 375 g, high balance, Tricarbon face, textured and hard surface.

Hack 04 (2025 and 2026). The 2025 lists a MultiEVA core and an advanced level. The 2026 lists a MultiEVA and Adaptia medium core, a Tricarbon 18K face and a competition level. My Bullpadel Hack 04 review covers the 04 in detail.

Hack 04 Hybrid. The Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 ($269) lists a hybrid shape with a high balance, and the 2026 Hybrid moves to a medium balance with an A-18K aluminized carbon fiber face.

Hack 04 Premier 2025. The Bullpadel Hack 04 Premier 2025 ($269) is a diamond at 365 - 375 g with a high balance, a Tricarbon face and a rough, hard surface.

Other editions. We also stock the Hack 04 Tour Finals 2024, Hack 04 Tour Final 2025, Hack 04 MX LTD 2026, Hack 04 MX 55 LTD and Hack 04 Newgiza 2026. We have no published spec rows for these, so I do not quote figures. Several of them sit in the limited editions collection.

Who Should Buy a Bullpadel Hack, and How to Set It Up

I get asked about the Bullpadel Hack most often by players who already own a teardrop and feel they have outgrown it. That is usually a sign of a better overhead, not a need for a new racket. So before recommending a Hack, I watch the player hit ten bandejas and ten smashes. If the contact point is consistent and in front of the body, a Hack will reward them. If it drifts behind the head, a diamond will only magnify the problem. Once we agree a Hack makes sense, this is the checklist.

  1. Be an attacker first. The Hack is a power frame. If you win more points defending than attacking, it is the wrong family.
  2. Pick the generation by budget and feel. Hack 03 for value and a slightly softer response. Hack 04 2026 for a crisper face and the newest design.
  3. Choose Hybrid if you are still developing. The Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 is listed for improver to competition players. My guide for intermediate players puts it in context.
  4. Size the grip with overgrips. One overgrip to start. A thicker grip reduces wrist action, which some attacking players want and others do not.
  5. Fit the protector. Use the protector from the free Court-Ready Kit on the diamond tip.
  6. Leave the balance alone for a month. The standard Hack already carries its weight high. Only add a strip if you want more punch after you have adapted.

Vertex 04 2024 Diamond 365 - 375 g High 12K carbon fiber XT Competition $239

The Hack and the Vertex look almost identical in this table. The difference is the face material and how the frame responds off center, which is why I wrote a full Bullpadel Vertex vs Hack comparison. For the Vertex side, see my Bullpadel Vertex review. Players asking about Hack vs NOX AT10 should know the AT10 is mainly a teardrop family, so it trades some of the Hack's overhead power for control. My NOX AT10 guide covers it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the Bullpadel Hack and the Vertex?

On the spec sheet, the standard Hack and Vertex are both diamond frames at 365 - 375 g with a high balance. The main listed difference is the face: Tricarbon on the Hack, 12K carbon fiber XT on the Vertex. On court I found the Hack more stable on off-center hits and the Vertex slightly more explosive on a perfect smash. The Hack is the easier of the two to live with.

How much does the Bullpadel Hack weigh?

Every Hack with a published spec row at Padelnox lists 365 - 375 g, including the Hack 03, Hack 03 Hybrid, Hack 04, Hack 04 Hybrid and Hack 04 Premier. What changes is the balance. The standard frames list a high balance, the Hack 03 Hybrid 2024 lists low, and the Hack 04 Hybrid 2026 lists medium, so the hybrids feel lighter in the hand.

Is the Bullpadel Hack 03 still worth buying?

Yes, if you want a proven power frame at a lower price. The Hack 03 2024 is $239 and the Hack 03 Master Final 2023 is $219 at Padelnox. Both share the diamond shape, 365 - 375 g weight range, high balance and Tricarbon face of the line. You give up the Tricarbon 18K face of the Hack 04 2026, which I found crisper but not transformative.
