NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum and 18K Rackets

Quick Answer

The NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum is the aluminized 18K carbon version of Agustín Tapia's teardrop, and this collection gathers every 18K AT10 we stock. Choose the 2025 Genius 18K Alum for the best all-round value, the 2026 Luxury Genius 18K Alum for the newest surface, or an Attack 18K for diamond power.

  • Best for: advanced players who like a firm, lively face and play at the net
  • Weight / Shape: 360 - 375 g across the 18K frames, teardrop (Genius) or diamond (Attack)
  • Price at Padelnox: $219 (18K 2023), $259 (18K 2024), $279 (2025), $329 (2026)

Key Takeaways

  • Not every 18K is Alum. The 2023 AT10 lists a plain 18K carbon face. From 2024 on, the 18K faces are aluminized.
  • The 2025 Genius 18K Alum is the sweet spot. Medium balance, teardrop, rough sand finish and a $279 price.
  • Attack 18K frames are diamonds. They hit harder and forgive less.
  • 18K vs 12K is a feel choice. In my testing the 18K Alum felt firmer and livelier, the 12K a touch more forgiving.
  • The 2026 frames are in stock now. No need to wait for a release date if you want the Dual Spin surface.

What This NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum Collection Includes

This collection brings together every NOX racket with 18K in its name. That makes it the quickest way to compare the AT10 Genius 18K Alum against its older siblings and its diamond cousins without scrolling through the whole brand.

The teardrops. The NOX AT10 18K 2023 ($219) is the oldest and most forgiving, with a medium balance and an HR3 core. The NOX AT10 18K 2024 ($259) switches to an 18K Carbon Alum face, a Black EVA core and a high balance. The NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum Agustín Tapia 2025 ($279) returns to a medium balance with a multilayer MLD Black EVA core and a rough sand finish with a Spin 3D pattern. The NOX AT10 Luxury Genius 18K Alum 2026 ($329) adds the Dual Spin surface and lists an intermediate feel.

The diamonds. The NOX AT10 Luxury Genius Attack 18K Alum 2025 ($279) and the NOX AT10 Luxury Genius Attack 18K Alum 2026 ($329) put the same 18K Alum face on a diamond head. The 2025 lists a high balance, and the 2026 lists an aggressive style of play.

The 500-Ball Test: Four 18K Frames in One Week

When I want to separate rackets that look alike on paper, I run a simple drill week. Each day I take one frame and hit roughly 500 balls in the same order: 150 volleys, 100 bandejas, 100 víboras, 100 balls off the back glass and 50 serves and returns. A training partner feeds, the balls come from fresh cans, and I write notes straight after. I did this with the 2024 18K, the 2025 Genius 18K Alum, the 2026 Luxury Genius 18K Alum and the 2025 Attack 18K Alum.

Volleys. The 2025 Genius was the quickest in the hand, which fits its medium balance. The 2024 18K, with its high balance, drove volleys deeper but needed a firmer wrist on the fast ones. The 2026 felt like a smoother version of the 2025.

Bandejas. All four teardrop-and-diamond faces grip the ball well. The 2024 and the Attack produced the heaviest bandeja, landing deep and staying low. The 2025 gave me the most control over placement.

Víboras. This is where the rough sand finish on the 2025 and the Dual Spin surface on the 2026 showed up. Both made the ball kick sideways off the side glass. I could not honestly separate them on spin alone.

Off the back glass. The teardrops were more forgiving than the Attack diamond on late, low balls. Of the teardrops, the 2025 kept the most balls alive when I caught them off center.

Arm after 500 balls. My forearm felt the Attack 18K Alum most, then the 2024 18K. The 2025 and 2026 teardrops were the most comfortable. None of the four left my elbow sore, but the difference between diamond and teardrop was clear.

My ranking for a club player. 2025 Genius 18K Alum first, 2026 Luxury Genius 18K Alum second, 2024 18K third on value, Attack 18K Alum for left-side finishers only.

NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum vs Genius 12K

A lot of shoppers land here while comparing the Genius 18K with a Genius 12K. The honest answer is that the two share the teardrop shape and the 360 - 375 g weight range, and the difference is mostly in the feel on contact.

In 2025 the comparison is the Genius 18K Alum against the NOX AT10 Luxury Genius 12K 2025 by Agustín Tapia ($279). Same price, same medium balance. The 18K Alum felt livelier on fast volleys in my hands, and the 12K felt more solid and slightly more muted. In 2026 the 12K Xtrem Alum is listed with an HR3 core and an intermediate-hard feel, which makes it firmer than the 18K Alum on paper.

My NOX AT10 12K vs 18K comparison has the full side-by-side test, and my brand-neutral 12K vs 18K carbon guide explains the weave numbers. The 12K frames live in the main NOX AT10 collection.

Some shoppers also ask about buying a used Genius 18K. We sell new frames only. If you do buy used elsewhere, check the frame edges for cracks, look for soft spots on the face and ask how many sessions it has played, because EVA cores lose liveliness with heavy use.

How to Pick Your NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum Frame

  1. Decide teardrop or diamond. Genius teardrop for all-court play and defense, Attack diamond for left-side finishers.
  2. Pick the year for your balance preference. Medium balance and quick hands: 2023 or 2025. High balance and heavier overheads: 2024.
  3. Choose 2026 only for its specific changes. The Dual Spin surface and the listed intermediate feel. Otherwise the 2025 gives you nearly the same racket for less.
  4. Check your level. NOX rates the 2025 and 2026 frames advanced to professional. If you are an improver, the 2023 18K, rated improver to competition, is the kinder choice. See my best padel racket for intermediate players list.
  5. Set it up. One overgrip for most hands, a frame protector from day one. Both are included free with every racket over $150.
  6. Protect it in the heat. Never leave a carbon racket in a hot car. A padded bag from our bags collection helps, and my padel bags guide explains what to look for.
