Tennis Rackets

Quick Answer
Our tennis rackets are 11 frames: ten from Babolat's Pure Drive, Pure Aero and Pure Strike families and the HEAD Radical MP. Nearly all use a 100 sq in head and a 16x19 string pattern, priced $199 to $219. Pick Pure Drive for easy power, Pure Aero for spin, Pure Strike for control, Radical MP for all-court balance.
- Best for: club and league tennis players; tennis players also picking up padel.
- Weight/Head/Strings: 255 g to 317 g depending on model and option, 100 sq in heads, 16x19 patterns.
- Price at Padelnox: $199 for most models, $219 for the Pure Aero 2026.
Key Takeaways
- Four families, four jobs. Pure Drive is power, Pure Aero is spin, Pure Strike is control and the Radical MP sits in the middle.
- Weight options matter most. Several models offer multiple weights, from 255 g on the Pure Drive Power 2025 up to 317 g on the Pure Aero Rafa.
- One frame ships unstrung. The Pure Aero Rafa is listed unstrung, so budget for strings and a stringer.
- Grip size 4 1/4 is standard here. The listings show 4 1/4, also called grip 2, unless an option says otherwise.
- Tennis and padel need different rackets. A tennis frame on a padel court is not allowed and would not work; the two sports share skills, not equipment.

The Tennis Rackets Range
I am Tomás Reyes. I coach padel, but I grew up hitting tennis balls before I ever saw a glass court, and many of my students still play both. My background is on my profile page. Here is how the tennis side of the store is organised.
Babolat Pure Drive, the power family. Babolat describes it as its power icon, with easy depth and a forgiving 100 sq in head. We stock the Pure Drive Wimbledon 2025 at 300 g ($199), the Wimbledon 2024 at 300 g, the Pure Drive Team Wimbledon 2023 at 285 g ($199), the Pure Drive+ in 285 or 300 g, and the Pure Drive Power 2025 ($199) with weight options from 255 to 300 g.
Babolat Pure Aero, the spin family. An aerodynamic frame built to whip through the ball for heavy topspin. The range runs from the Pure Aero 2023 in 285 or 300 g, through the Pure Aero Rafa, unstrung, in 290 or 317 g ($199), to the newest Pure Aero 2026 ($219), where you choose your weight from the options.
Babolat Pure Strike, the control family. A crisp, precise response for players who take the ball early. The Pure Strike Lite 2024 ($199) comes in 270, 285, 300 or 305 g, and the Pure Strike 2025 sits alongside it.
HEAD Radical MP, the all-court classic. The HEAD Radical MP at 300 g ($199) balances power, control and spin for players who do a bit of everything.
Hitting Notes From a Mixed Tennis and Padel Club
One of the clubs where I coach has six tennis courts and four padel courts. Over three months this year, I borrowed frames from this collection on quiet mornings and hit with two of the club's tennis coaches, then asked my padel students who also play tennis what they use. These are informal notes, not lab tests.
The Pure Drive. The easiest racket to pick up and hit deep with. On the 300 g Wimbledon 2025, groundstrokes came off lively, and I did not have to work to reach the baseline. The tennis coaches both called it the racket they recommend most to adult league players. The 285 g Team version felt noticeably quicker on the return of serve, which is what I would give a lighter adult or a teenager moving up.
The Pure Aero. The spin was obvious from the first rally. With a fast, brushing swing, the ball dipped hard. With my flatter padel-shaped swing, it felt less special. That is the honest summary: it rewards a modern topspin stroke.
The Pure Strike Lite. The most precise feel of the group. On volleys, which is the part of tennis closest to padel, it felt the most familiar in my hand. For a tennis player who likes to come forward, this was my pick.
The Radical MP. The most balanced of the four. Nothing extreme, nothing missing. One tennis coach said it is the racket he never has to explain.
What I noticed across my padel students: the ones with a strong volley in tennis pick up padel fastest. The ones who live on the baseline with heavy topspin take longer, because padel rewards compact swings and a continental grip.

How to Choose Your Tennis Racket
- Name your game style. Flat, deep hitting: Pure Drive. Heavy topspin: Pure Aero. Early ball and volleys: Pure Strike. A bit of everything: Radical MP.
- Pick the weight before the model. Lighter frames, such as 255 to 285 g, suit juniors, returning adults and anyone with a sensitive arm. 300 g and above suits established adult players.
- Check the grip size. The listings show 4 1/4 unless an option says otherwise. Build up with an overgrip if you are between sizes.
- Note strung or unstrung. The Pure Aero Rafa is listed unstrung. Plan your string and tension with a local stringer.
- Add grips and a bag. Tennis overgrips live in our accessories, and Babolat backpacks and racket bags sit in our bags collection. My bag guide covers sizes.
- Buy genuine stock. Replica rackets exist in both tennis and padel. We sell genuine brand stock only and inspect every order before dispatch.
From Tennis to Padel: The Racket Question
Many people who land here are tennis players curious about padel, and some searched for a padel racket for beginners or padel rackets for sale. Here is the short version from a coach who teaches tennis converts every week.
Padel uses a solid, stringless racket with a foam or EVA core, a short handle and a wrist strap. It is shorter than a tennis racket but heavier, usually 350 to 375 g. The ball is played off glass walls, the serve is underarm, and scoring works like tennis. My what is padel guide explains the rest.
For a first padel racket, tennis players should choose a round or forgiving shape with a low or medium balance. The NOX Silhouette ($69) is an oversized round beginner frame at 350 to 365 g with a 3K fibreglass face. Frequently Asked Questions
Which Babolat tennis racket should I choose?
Start with your game. The Pure Drive suits players who want easy power and depth from a forgiving 100 sq in head. The Pure Aero suits heavy topspin hitters with a fast, brushing swing. The Pure Strike suits players who take the ball early and like a precise, controlled feel. Then choose the weight: lighter options from 255 to 285 g for juniors and returning adults, 300 g and above for established players.
Can I use a tennis racket for padel?
No. Padel requires a solid, stringless racket with a short handle and a wrist strap, and tennis rackets are not permitted on a padel court. The balls are different too. The good news is that tennis skills transfer well, especially volleys and a continental grip. A forgiving round padel racket, such as an oversized beginner frame, is the easiest bridge for tennis players trying padel for the first time.
Are the tennis rackets strung?
Most listings do not say unstrung, but the Babolat Pure Aero Rafa is explicitly listed as unstrung, so it needs stringing before you play. If you are unsure about any model, check the product listing or email helppadelnox@outlook.com before ordering. For unstrung frames, a local stringer can fit the string and tension that suit your game, which many experienced players prefer to do anyway.
